That Old Hurt

I thought I’ll never write about you again.

I was surfing online shopping sites, admiring earrings and bracelets, when a thought came into my mind, unbidden.

That moment when I found out your bracelet slipped from my wrist to be lost forever, somehow at the back of my mind, I knew I would be losing you [in a matter of time].

That’s how it is. Things get lost. People slip away.

After all these time, my wrist feels bare, without your Tiffany bracelet which means more to me than its monetary price could ever be.

The reason is you.
